Silversea Cruises Event Video – Hensol Castle

The brief

Silversea Cruises wanted a short film of a private dining experience at Hensol Castle for use by its marketing team. The creative brief was agreed in advance over video calls with the client team in Miami, who were very specific about the atmosphere, details and moments they wanted captured.

The shoot itself was compact: around three hours on site, beginning with an exterior drone flight before moving inside for the dining experience.

Filming a paid-for experience discreetly

The main production challenge was simple: the guests were there to enjoy an expensive dining experience, not to perform for a camera. The filming therefore had to stay unobtrusive, react quickly to genuine moments and avoid interrupting conversations or service.

There was already a separate video-and-photography team travelling with the ship, so the role on the day had to complement rather than duplicate their coverage. Their established relationship with the guests gave them easier access around the dining tables, while our coverage concentrated on the wider experience, the setting, atmospheric details and the aerial material that could not otherwise be captured.

Working from a tightly defined remote brief

Because the marketing team was based in Miami, the pre-production calls mattered. The shot priorities, visual tone and important details were agreed before arriving at Hensol Castle, allowing the three-hour filming window to be used efficiently.

The result

The finished film brought together aerial views of Hensol Castle, the arrival and atmosphere of the evening, the dining experience and the details requested by the client. The result was a concise event film designed to give the Silversea marketing team a polished record of the experience without turning the evening into a staged production.
