Dora Stoutzker Hall Concert Video – Cardiff
CONCERT EVENT VIDEO · CARDIFF
The brief
A charity-related concert at the Dora Stoutzker Hall, Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff, required two distinct deliverables: a full-length record of the performance and a shorter promotional highlights film.
The coverage therefore had to protect the continuity and sound of the complete concert while also gathering the visual variety needed for a concise recap of the evening.
Recording the full event and a short highlights film
The long-form version needed dependable, continuous coverage so the performance could be watched as a complete event. At the same time, the shorter edit needed changes of view, audience context and memorable moments that could represent the evening quickly.
Planning for both outputs during the same production avoided treating the highlights as an afterthought. The shot selection had to work for sustained viewing as well as shorter, music-led sequences.
Two edits for different audiences
A full concert recording serves people who want the complete performance. A highlights film has a different job: it provides a shareable overview for promotion and for viewers who may not watch the event at full length.
The same concert coverage was planned to support both an uninterrupted record and a concise promotional recap.
The result
The production delivered a full-length concert recording alongside a shorter highlights film from the Dora Stoutzker Hall event. Together they provide both a complete archive of the performance and an accessible way to share the evening.
