The brief

Davies Homes wanted a presenter-led tour that would give viewers a clear sense of a property in Merthyr Tydfil and its setting. The filming combined presentation, interior movement shots and aerial views.

Approximately two hours were available on site. The route, presenter sections and supporting shots therefore needed to be organised carefully so each part of the property could be covered efficiently.

Combining presenter, gimbal and drone footage

The presenter supplied a natural route through the property and a clear structure for the film. Gimbal footage added smooth movement through the rooms, while drone filming established the exterior and surrounding location.

Each technique served a different purpose, so the shoot was planned to avoid repeating the same information. Presenter pieces introduced the spaces, movement shots showed their relationship and aerial footage added geographical context.

Working efficiently on location

With only around two hours to capture all three types of material, the filming order mattered. Grouping interior, exterior and aerial work reduced unnecessary changes and helped protect time for the key presenter sections.

The result

The finished property video brings together presentation, gimbal movement and drone footage to show both the home and its setting. Viewers can follow the tour easily while seeing details that a static set of property images would not convey.
