Manufacturing Videos
Practical factory-floor filming for manufacturers, engineers and industrial suppliers across Wales and the UK. If you need a videographer to document a production process, show a new line changeover, capture interviews with engineers, or create a clear training film for operators and contractors, South Wales Video makes it straightforward. We plan around shifts, work safely in live environments, and supply edits that staff actually watch. For sector context see our pages on industrial video production and factory video production.
What We Film
- Process videos and SOP walk-throughs for QA, ISO 9001 and audit evidence
- Machine set-up, maintenance tasks, SMED changeovers and line start-up checks
- Health & safety briefings, toolbox talks and visitor inductions (see H&S videos and induction videos)
- Engineer and leadership interviews for internal comms and change programmes (interview filming)
- Installations, factory upgrades and handovers recorded with short-term time-lapse
- Wide plant shots and site overviews using CAA-compliant drone filming where suitable
How We Work On Site
Every plant is different, so we fit in with yours. We complete RAMS, follow PPE rules and liaise with your H&S lead before the shoot. We can film during production, during a shutdown, or out of hours to minimise disruption. The crew is compact and self-sufficient. Typical kit includes cinema-grade cameras, fast lenses for low light, clip-on mics for clear speech, and action cams for safe viewpoints inside guards (with permission). If filming restrictions apply, we adapt with staged demos and diagrams. More on our approach is outlined under site filming and general production services.
Editing For Clarity
The goal is simple: a short film that explains the task and reduces repeat questions. We add step numbers, lower-thirds, warnings, stills, call-outs and brand-matched captions. Versions can be supplied for your LMS, SharePoint or intranet (landscape, square and vertical if needed). If you need a presenter or autocue to keep delivery tight, we can provide that too. See our broader training video service for more examples.
Typical Use Cases (SEO-friendly examples)
- “Factory process video production in Wales for ISO audits”
- “Engineering maintenance training video for food and drink manufacturing”
- “SMED changeover video to reduce downtime on packaging lines”
- “Health and safety induction video for warehouse and logistics teams”
- “Quality control SOP video for plastic moulding and assembly”
- “Lean manufacturing 5S and standard work video”
- “GDPR-compliant internal video for HR policy updates”
Deliverables & Formats
You’ll receive a master file plus web-ready versions, with optional subtitles and language variants. If your operation still needs optical media for kiosk players or legacy sites, we can supply discs via our DVD/Blu-ray authoring service.
Coverage & Scheduling
We work across South Wales and travel UK-wide. Small one-off shoots or multi-site rollouts are both fine. If you’re planning a suite of films (onboarding, safety, SOPs) we’ll batch filming to keep cost and time down.
Pricing
Rates are clear and scale with the brief. A short half-day on the factory floor is priced differently to a multi-camera interview block and time-lapse install. Current options are listed on our pricing page; if you prefer to talk it through, we’ll quote against a short brief.
Next Steps
Send the objective, audience and any constraints (permits, inductions, site rules). We’ll suggest a filming plan, shot list and schedule that fits around production. To get started, contact South Wales Video for a quick call or a site recce.
