Filming Music Videos For Music Artists and Bands in Wales

Rhys Harper hired us to create a music video for his latest single, providing a clear concept while also embracing a collaborative approach. His friends’ parents were happy to be involved, adding an authentic touch to the project. We filmed Rhys separately just up the road, capturing his performance with a distinct setting. Later, we returned to the original location to shoot an additional sequence at sunset, adding a warm and atmospheric finish to the video. The final product beautifully blends these elements, showcasing the song’s emotional depth and energy.

We’ve filmed two music videos for Grey Fox Conspiracy, each shot in just four hours at locations they secured and prepped ahead of time. They came with a clear plan, knew what they wanted, and made sure everything was ready before the shoot. That kind of preparation makes a massive difference—it lets us focus fully on the visuals and keeps things running smooth. They’re the kind of client every shoot needs.

Music Videos — From Simple Shoots to Full Productions

We offer two clear options, depending on what you need and how much you want to put into it:

1. Straightforward Filming & Editing
Perfect if you’ve got a great track and just need a clean, sharp video to match.

  • Typically 4 hours on location

  • 2–3 days of editing

  • One location, performance-focused

  • Includes lighting, stabilised camera moves, basic visual effects

Ideal for solo artists or bands who want a solid video without overcomplicating things.

2. Full Music Video Production
If you’ve got a bigger idea — actors, narrative, styling, locations, storyboarding — this takes more planning. We take a producer role and handle the moving parts:

  • Location scouting

  • Casting & coordination

  • Styling, props, and shotlists

  • Multi-day shoots

These projects come with a fair producing fee, split into instalments, to cover pre-production time and creative direction. It’s a more involved process — more like a short film than a quick promo.

Concert Filming for Choirs, Orchestras & Bands
From classical ensembles to rock bands and choirs, we cover a wide range of live music performances with flexible multi-camera filming options.

Essential Multi-Camera Recording

Ideal for schools, community groups, and organisations, this package includes two fixed-position cameras placed at the rear of the venue, capturing a reliable, full-length recording with clean audio. It’s a straightforward way to document performances, share with participants, or create an affordable keepsake for families and performers.

Cinematic Multi-Camera Production
For a more refined and visually engaging result, we offer a tailored multi-camera setup based on your venue and performance style. Wide shots frame the full ensemble or band on stage, while close-ups track soloists, instrumental sections, vocalists, or key movements. Additional operators can cover crowd reactions, backstage footage, or artistic cutaways to bring out the energy and emotion of the event.

Alongside the full-length film, we can also produce highlight reels, performer interviews, and short promotional edits — perfect for marketing, social media, or future ticket sales. Whether it’s a packed rock concert or a formal classical recital, we deliver a film that captures the sound, atmosphere, and scale of your live event.

Band & Gig Promotion

For bands and artists, we create dynamic gig videos designed to boost your profile and help you secure more bookings. Whether it’s an intimate club set or a packed venue, our multi-camera approach captures both the energy on stage and the reactions in the crowd. We work with you to craft a visual story that showcases your music at its best, producing promo videos that stand out online and resonate with fans, venues, and promoters.

Shot in just four hours in South Wales, this music video for Grey Fox Conspiracy was a smooth and focused production. The band prepped the location in advance and came in with a clear creative vision—timed to the beat, second by second. Their preparation made it easy to concentrate on the visuals and keep the shoot efficient from start to finish.

 Music Video FAQ:

How much do you charge to produce a showreel for my band?  It mainly depends on its complexity, such as how many filming sessions will be required, and if anything needs to be hired.  See our pricing guide.

Do you have a studio where we can film it? No, but if you are stuck we can suggest venues we are famliar with.

Can you make me a cool music video for my new song without me being in it? Yes, for additional expenses we can hire actors and film a narrative video for your song.

When preparing for the band’s promo video:

  1. Allow us an hour before filming to plan the shots, set up the lights and balance the audio.
  2. Don’t give away all your set-list in the promo, only a taster remember to get people to book you.
  3. Record the songs in a studio and give this track to the video producer before the shoot.
  4. Consider the setting and make sure the lighting is good. Every band member’s face should be seen clearly in the spotlight
  5. Set the atmosphere. Perhaps bring in a crowd of dancers who give their permission to be on camera.
  6. Remember to have fun and move with the music. The viewer will tune into this.
